On Tuesday, August 22nd, we will be taking a break from our usual political discussions to dedicate an evening solely to personal safety training. This event is open to the public, and we want to extend a warm invitation to you and your loved ones to attend.
Please note that this is not a political event, and there will be no mention of political activities or recognition of elected officials or candidates. Instead, we have gathered public safety professionals to offer you valuable training in several crucial areas:
– Civilian Response to an Active Shooter Event (CRASE)
– Threat Reduction Training (TRT)
– Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED)
– Residential Target Hardening / Residential Crime Prevention
– Home Defense Planning / Family Safety and Surety Planning
The event will take place at the Washington County Public Safety Training Center. We are also considering live-streaming the classes to benefit those who are unable to attend in person.
This training session is designed with your safety and security in mind. It’s our way of giving back to the community and providing you with valuable knowledge to help keep you and your loved ones safe. Personal safety is a shared responsibility, and together, we can build a safer and more secure environment for all residents of Washington County.
We genuinely hope you can join us for this essential and informative evening. Your participation will contribute to the collective well-being of our community. Mark your calendars for August 22nd and be prepared to empower yourself with the tools and information you need to stay safe.
The Washington County Public Safety Training Center is located off Sharpsburg Pike at:
