Washington County Republican Social Club
Meeting March 27. 2025
6: 30 PM everyone lined up for the buffet produced by Mission BBQ and it was a time of great food and
fellowship with each other.
A quorum was validated with the number of good standing members wearing badges.
At 7:00 the meeting was started by Matt Breeding and he introduced the Guest Speaker, Bill Green, the
newly elected Mayor of Williamsport.
Bill reviewed the history of Williamsport and how they are now working on properties with great
changes to improve the city. They have been working with A.I. to access data for the project.
A question and answer session closed this discussion.
At 7:40 an announcement was made that voting was to take place tonight for the President of the Club
and the candidates were Matt Breeding and Derrick Harvey. There was also a vote for the Treasurer of the
club and the candidates were John McElroy and a write in candidate. The ballots were collected and
counted by representatives of both candidates. The results were announced: Matt Breeding had been re-
elected as President and John McElroy had been re-elected as Treasurer.
Matt announced that Will’s Mother has recently passed away and we are asking for prayers for his family.
There was then a discussion about our face book page and how we can block inappropriate comments made
there. We discussed blocking bad comments, making it a private site for only members, and the discussion
continued.
Ethan made a motion to establish a committee to address our social media issues and it was seconded by
Linda with complete agreement by the club.
The next meeting will be held on April 24 at 6:30 PM.
The 50/50 $45.00 was won by Kay Enderly
